About Us
Sam and I met our freshman year of college, well, sort of. Our paths had crossed a few times before that as far back as preschool, but we officially started our "get to know you" stage our freshman year at the University of Georgia. The summer after our freshman year we started dating, and we have never looked back!
After four years of dating, we finally got engaged. We wed on April 3, 2010… kind of wild to think it's been six years! We have two sweet babies of the animal variety. Everest, our seven year old Himalayan cat, joined our family just before we got married. She loves her mommy the most. She thinks her daddy is pretty cool and her little brother is a pain. Which he is. Sterling is our five year old Weimaraner. He joined our family just after we got married. Everything you have ever heard about Weims is true. He is full of energy, loves to jump on and over furniture, can escape from practically anything, loves his water bowl, and believes he still fits in his momma's lap. He loves his daddy the most, thinks his mom is a meanie, and his sister is the greatest toy to chase. We are one big happy family.
After three years struggling with a diagnosis of unexplained infertility (though we have strong suspicions that my eggs suck) and pursuing various fertility treatments including IVF, we decided to pursue domestic adoption. We welcomed our first son to our family in 2015. He is the love of our lives and the greatest gift! If you have found my little blog via searches or other TTC blogs, welcome. I've provided some links to our infertility and adoption journeys at the top. No matter what brought you, I'm SO glad you're here. Feel free to message me or email me.
